Ancient Runes Readings

A: Author’s name begins with “B:” Dead Heat by Patricia Briggs ****

This book was a great read if a bit difficult to get through given the issues with Rosie. The book deals with magic, grief, and spirituality while still keeping its roots in supernatural romance. The development of the characters is very visible in this installment of the series.

E: Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle ****

The Musgrave Ritual

I enjoyed listening to this book via audio book. It was a quick and delightful read.

O: A Romance: Burn Bright by Patricia Brigs

This book is the latest installment in the Alpha and Omega series. The book holds less adventure and more world development than its predecessors. There is still intrigue and mystery to be had! I cannot wait for the next installment!

My life continues to be a bit overwhelming. COVID-19 has made work hectic and difficult. Some of the most heartbreaking cases have made appearances.

On the positive side I will be training for another new role at my agency starting tomorrow! I will be working on the psych floor of my hospital as a social worker and discharge planner. I am excited for the smaller caseload and my ability to put my behavioral health knowledge to good use.

Wish me luck!

Coming up soon my reading program as of 8-15-20.

A Hectic Few weeks!

Two weeks ago one of my guinea pigs grew a lump on her neck. The vet did not know what it was, cancer, an abscess, or something else, so Rosie went to surgery on Tuesday. She came home out of it. Very sleepy, in pain, and her eyes were dull. To be honest with you all I had reservations on if she would make it. However after lots of home care and love she seemed to be perking up. Then the lump grew back, an emergency vet visit, follow up care, and a lot of antibiotics later the lump is finally shrinking. This time the lump was fluid collection.

For those of you wondering, it was an abscess that was the size of a chicken egg! It kept growing overnight until it was removed. I have to say that every few years I get an animal scare and this was one of the worst. I am so glad little one is finally on the mend.
